If you are experiencing a problem with your furniture, all claims for warranty service must be accompanied by your original proof of purchase, contain a brief written description of the defect, and must be made through the retailer where the upholstered furniture was purchased.

Some repairs may be taken care of in your home and your authorized retailer will handle those repairs. If retailer technicians feel that factory service is needed, Kirkwood Designs will make arrangements to pick up your furniture from the retailer, make any repairs necessary and return it to your retailer.

Warranty claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Any repairs for problems that fall under our warranty (below) will be done at no charge to you. Depending on your location and the age of your furniture, your local authorized retailer may require nominal charges for pickup, shipment, and re-delivery.

• Fabrics are warrantied only to the extent of the warranty provided to Kirkwood Designs by its fabric suppliers. Since manufacturers of upholstery fabrics do not guarantee their products for wearing quality (pilling), color-fastness, shrinkage, wrinkling and stretching, those properties are not covered under this warranty.
• Leathers are warrantied only to the extent of the warranty provided to Kirkwood Designs by its leather suppliers. Since leather manufacturers do not guarantee their products for wearing quality, color-fastness, shrinkage, wrinkling and stretching, those properties are not covered under this warranty. Leather is a natural material; therefore, each hide has unique markings and features. Color variations occur normally within a hide and from hide to hide as no two hides are alike. Wrinkles, scratches, insect bites, healed scars and other natural markings are not considered flaws.

Warranty limitations and exclusions

Warranties do not apply to furniture that is intentionally misused or to damage resulting from negligence, exposure to sunlight or outdoor elements, non-residential use, improper cleaning, or other unreasonable use, or to fabric damage or failure due to a fabric protection chemical treatment, improper cleaning, or when abnormal heavy soiling or abuse is evident.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser from authorized Kirkwood Designs dealers and terminates in the event of resale.

Slight variations may occur due to furniture being made by hand using natural materials. Therefore, this warranty does not cover minor differences between your furniture and in-store samples, printed materials, and video or Internet displays.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
